I saw the news about the new iPod Touch and was pretty excited.  It has Wifi with web browsing, can sync wirelessly with iTunes, and has that great touch screen.  It's basically an iPhone without the phone.  So the bad news is that. . .its bassically an iPhone.

An iPhone is 8 gig or 4 gig ( I think ).  So now you take out the features of the iPhone and add only 8 more gig of HD space?  Are you kidding me?  I was about to give Apple the nod of the best music player one could ever want until I heard of the hard drive size.

Why can't Apple simply put the 80 gig classic HD into the iPod Touch?  Since when is 8 gig your starting point for a high priced iPod?

Apple made a huge mistake with the hard drive space.  I, much like all of you, become accustomed to 30 gig as being the standard for a music player.  So Apple, when you refresh the iPod Touch to be 30 gig then let me know.  Otherwise, I plan on keeping what I have.

Storage space sucks i agree... that's why I paid an extra 29.99 bucks when i bought my 16G for a 2-year no-questions-asked return policy... This way I'll enjoy my Ipod Touch while waiting for the Next Gen 30? Gig or so...

as 'john' said, i couldnt agree more. and the other fact is, that its so very thin as its current state, im sure adding a another 20gig on will not significantly increase the size. Im waiting on the second gen touch and the caption "New iPod touch, 30 or 80gig now from only $499.00"
