I was informed yesterday that quite a few random people ended up using the Beach Tracker Widget on their myspace profiles. I have never told anyone to put it on their profile. So the only way it could have been spread was word of mouth or viewing it on someone elses profile. So who are the people that are using it?

Well, I'm glad I asked . . . myself. Today I just finished figuring out a way to track who is using my widget.

It keeps track of each user's "Display Name", amount of profile views, their current myspace display picture, and the date it was first discovered in use.

I do believe I see a pattern among the people who use it. Most of them are one group of friends that saw it on each other's profile. How very MySpace of them.
