Something has been bugging me about the Apple iPhone release since it was announced. No, its not the people getting excited about it or those complaining about itunes functionality. It's not even about the inevitable ear crudd on the nice gloss screen that you will be touching to use the phone. Its about the web design! Go on over to their iPhone page and read a bit about it for a minute or so. Really concentrate and read a page or two about its features. Then go to google.com. Notice anything?

Unless my eyes work differently than everyone elses, you should see that your color is messed up. I don't know the technical term for this, perhaps eye fuckage? In any case, its a clear indication of horrible design by the King of Design, Apple. Who ever thought a dark background with white text is a good idea? More importantly, why is this page still up?!?! Why didn't apple change it to their elegant white theme? Why aren't people complaining?

I know that you're thinking my page looks way worse and has loads of problems. But at least x-pose.org doesn't leave its mark on your eyes when you close the browser. :)

So what other big company is guilty of this? Microsoft of course! It is not as bad, but go ahead and read this vista blog. Then go to google and notice a similar affect on your eyes.

So designers it is important to use a lighter background and then text on top. If you do the opposite, you cause eye fuckage. Apparently even the big name companies skipped design 101. =\

Thanks for the information. Apple's flagship product (the iPhone) could only be found at a few large retailers, which includes AT&T, Best Buy, and Apple Stores. Now, it looks like the crew is adding a new member to their team, Wal-Mart. According to the article, Wal-Mart is rumored to be offering the iPhone's 4 GB model by December 15th, for the price of $99. This would allow holiday shoppers a chance to buy before Christmas. Other rumors, however, place the release date to December 28th and instead of the 4gig model it is expected to be the 8 GB model, which is said to be sold at $197. As usual, Wal-Mart’s ambition to provide consumers the lowest prices on consumer products and merchandise will of course kick in. Rumor has it that they will have the iPhone on the counter for two dollars less than any other retailer, which may not seem like much of a discount. But when you think of it, any savings is better than no savings at all. Obviously, Apple wants to take advantage of the daily foot traffic at each of Wal-Mart’s locations, but will not want to overstep its other established retailers by undercutting them. Since their sales have not been where they would like them to be, Wal-Mart will most likely make a good profit from the deal since it will help boost their consumer electronic sales. They are taking major steps and have brought in a third party to help educate their staffs and consumers on the latest technologies regarding this purpose.
