Okay, so this would be my second attempt to try and stop comment spam. The first try I thought I did a good job but apparently not. :( From now on visitors must include an email address along with their name and comment. The email addys won't be used for anything other than spam prevention. I will never require people to make a login and password though. I honestly can't stand that, because just about every other site requires it. But I did get a little sick and tired of having to delete spam comments and had some time before the Yankees game to fix this. Now if only I can fix the Yankees so they aren't shut out with one of the "best lineups in the history of the game". >:0

We'll see how long until the spam comments return. . . perhaps 2 months ? People don't realize how bad comment spam is until you have to deal with it, or you can just see this kick ass chart. As you can see, akismet is a great app that just about every blog could use.
