This post is nothing but good news. The site has two rather significant changes to the blogging system. I had become sick and tired of the random spam comments that happen about once a month. So I had to think of some way to fix that . .. so then I stumble across akismet to save the day! Basically, it is free comment spam blocker. I have tested it, and it actually works by just analyzing the name and comment. However, if regular people are getting flagged as spam, then I will have to force people to enter their email addresses. If anyone else is having a problem with spam on their custom blog or wordpress/php nuke etc, give this app a try! It is so extremely easy to use.

The other big change is to the blog urls. This probably isn't even worth mentioning, but the fact that I got it to work makes it worthwhile. =P With the help of zeb and a near server crash I have created better looking blog urls. For example, before it used to say "www.x-pose.org/xpnewsblog.php?id=34". Kind of complicated looking and google doesnt seem to like those types of pages. Now it will simply say ".../blog/34/". I have ALWAYS wondered how sites did that! For the 2 visitors who understand what I am talking about, it is called mod rewrite.

Also, I should mention that our recent weather gave NJ 10 straight beach days. This broke the previous record of 7 on two seperate occasions this summer. If you are curious to see where those days occur, look at the calendar's previous months.
