So Google Chrome has come out and people are wondering what to make of it. It has a simplistic interface similar to IE7, better javascript speed, and boasts being a stable application (FINALLY!), and loads more. Sure all of this sounds great but being a diehard Firefox fan it still falls short in plugins. As in, there are no plugins yet! :GASP: As a web developer, if I am to switch over to Chrome full time I need the following firefox extensions ported over:
1) SeoQuake. Without question SeoQuake is something I use every day and need to have. I like to be able to pull stats for any website I go to. If Chrome doesn't have it, I won't use it.
2) Roboform. I don't know about you guys but I have literally hundreds of logins and passwords. I can't remember them all and I don't want to. Therefore roboform HAS to work in chrome.
3) Firebug. I don't really need to say anything here other than the fact this is the best extension ever made for web developers.
4) AdBlock Plus. I used Google Chrome a few minutes ago and saw ads on pages and was completely not used to it. Am I ready to go back to a banner ad filled browsing experience? No, and I don't think you are either.
Chances are that you have at least one of these extensions installed in firefox and have gotten very used to having it. Call me crazy, but I refuse to browse without them.
