We are in the midst of the Summer Olympic Games.  Guess what? The Olympics suck.  I find it funny how a guy like Michael Phelps can go from a no-name to the best athlete in the world in a matter of a week or two.  If you want to say he is the best Olympic athlete ever then I'll buy that one.  He does have the record for most gold medals.  By no means is this guy even close to the real pros from real sports.

The Olympics are for non sports people who like to see athletes participate in arbitrary events.  Something tells me that the same people who watch American Idol love the Olympics.  If the NFL were played like the Olympics, we'd give out awards for the skills competition and never even play a real game.  Boy, doesn't that sound like fun?  Give that man who ran a forty time of 4.35 a gold medal!

The Olympics are the most watched by west coast people.  Not just this year, but for the past 2 or 3 Olympics in a row.  The question is why!?

Well, where in the United States consists the highest concentration of superficial people?  California of course!  There are a few exceptions to this rule, but in general there are a shitload of idiots who pretend to be sports fans.  In fact, they pretend to be a lot of things but that's besides the point.  Their definition of a sports fan is to go to a baseball game in the 3rd inning and leave by the 6th even though their team is in the playoff hunt.  Of course they would love to grab onto the most superficial sporting event of the year to brag that the US kicks international butt! USA! USA!

Meanwhile elsewhere in the United States we are following the real sports and don't give a shit about the Olympics.  A real sports fan would choose to watch their favorite baseball team any day of the week.  A real sports fan would only watch Olympic basketball and MAYBE women's volleyball for obvious reasons.

If your mom and sister want to watch the Olympics then that is fine. There is nothing wrong with that.  In fact, just about everyone in the Olympics have impressive athletic ability (except for Fencing). 

So let's get this shit over with already.  And another thing. . . wtf is with Canada not even getting ONE medal at this point?!
